Adoption Fee 125$ Come visit me at People for Animal Wellbeing. Hi I am Cinnabun. I came to the shelter as a stray, so not much is known about my past. Funny story, I was actually picked up outside the Magnetic Hill Zoo, with my bunny friend Waffles. We were both put into foster care for a few weeks while we waited to be fixed. We are both quite nervous and become spooked very easily! We are looking for a mature, quiet home and a patience family, who can help us gain our confidence. I am a bit more confident then my brother Waffles, and I don't mind being handled, as long as you can catch me first. Rabbits make intelligent, friendly and quiet house pets but please make sure you have done your research before adopting. A rabbit requires the same commitment and has many of the same needs as a dog. The average life span of a pet rabbit is 7 - 10 years but some may live longer. Rabbits need a healthy diet consisting of fresh timothy hay, a variety of fresh vegetables and rabbit pellets. They need proper housing that allows them enough space to stand up on their hind legs, have a litter box and separate resting space. Like all pets rabbits require regular exercise to prevent physical and behavioral problems. Remember your rabbit has hind legs that are designed for running and jumping. Make sure you either bunny proof your exercise area inside or have a secure play pen outside. Rabbits should have yearly veterinary exams to ensure they are in good health. When handling your rabbit you need to be gentle and always support their hind end. They are quite fragile and can suffer spinal injuries or fractures if they are not handled properly. Rabbits are not recommended as pets for small children. A rabbit is naturally a prey animal and they are easily frightened or dropped by children. An adult should always be their primary care giver and supervise any interaction with young children.
