Come visit me at PAW - Adoption fee $390 - This is Skye. Skye is a 9 month old Shepherd mix. She came into the shelter as an owner surrender, however we did not have any information on her personality, or behaviors in a home. During Skye's temperament test at the shelter she had shown possessiveness towards her food and toys. She then went to a foster home to help improve those behaviors. She has been on her training journey for a couple months and has shown great improvement. Her foster home has said she is willing to give up her toys and hasn't shown as severe food possession since working with a professional trainer in the home. Even though Skye does have possessiveness towards food and toys, she is still a wonderful little pup. She loves playing with tennis balls, and other dogs. She is a big fan of snow days because it means she gets yummy treats-she loves eating snow and ice! Skye is very high energy and would love her new owners be willing to help burn off some of the excess energy. Mental stimulation is also important! She will need a slow proper introduction to any animals in the home, and have a home that is child free. Due to her possession issues it will be mandatory that Skye is signed up with a private trainer prior to adoption.
