Come meet me at PAW! Adoption fee: $450 Meet Lil Jon! Lil Jon is a small dog with a big heart who has come a long way since arriving at the shelter. When he first came to us, he was incredibly timid and overwhelmed by his new surroundings. Even being on a leash was scary for him, and he would panic as though he had little to no experience with leash walking. With time, patience, and plenty of encouragement, Lil Jon has made some wonderful progress! He is becoming more comfortable and is learning that the world isn't quite as scary as it first seemed. He'll need a patient adopter who is willing to continue building his confidence at his own pace. Lil Jon does have some boundaries when it comes to handling. He is not comfortable being handled and may become snappy when he feels overwhelmed or uncomfortable. Because of this, he is looking for an adult-only home with no children and would do best with someone who understands canine body language and is committed to respecting his boundaries. Lil Jon may not be the dog who confidently runs up and greets everyone with a wagging tail but he's getting there and for the right person, watching him slowly come out of his shell will be incredibly rewarding. He needs someone who will give him time, space, patience, and lots of positive experiences while he learns to trust.
